IPF IB182250 M18 cylindrical inductive proximity sensor

  • High Temperature Detection: Challenging environments like hot industrial processes, forging machines, and heat treatment ovens where ambient temperatures consistently reach up to 180 °C.

  • Accurate Position and Status Control: Reliable non-contact detection of metal targets at a 5 mm distance on production lines and machine components.

  • Critical Process Safety: Safety-focused applications that require a signal break (output activation) when a metal object is not sensed (e.g., monitoring that a safety gate is closed). This is due to Normally Closed (NC) output function.

  • Harsh Conditions: Use in industrial environments with splashing water, dust, and vibration, thanks to stainless steel housing and IP65 protection rating.

IPF IB180250 is an M18 cylindrical inductive proximity sensor designed for high ambient temperatures. sensor is specially manufactured to detect metal objects reliably at temperatures up to 180 °C. It features a flush mounting type and has a nominal sensing distance of 5 mm. One of its key features is PNP Normally Closed (NC) output function, which allows current to flow when no metal object is present or within sensing range. Housing is made of durable stainless steel and connection is via a 2 m silicone cable.
