The FR1501 is an infrared edge sensor manufactured by Erhardt+Leimer. It detects the position of the fabric to ensure accurate and even pinning or clipping. The sensor housing integrates a fabric support arm and a mechanical edge feeler. If the fabric does not run evenly between 20 and 22 mm below the sensor, a support arm and matt plate may be required
